Terms of Use

Your use of the features and services (the “Services”), and access to the information and materials (the “Content”), provided by Wisers Information Limited (“Wisers”) via this site is subject to the terms and conditions of the agreement between Wisers and the subscribing organization to which you belong (the “General Terms and Conditions”).

Copyright in the pages and in the screens displaying the pages, and in the arrangement of the information and material therein, is owned by Wisers and/or the relevant third party contributors unless otherwise indicated.

 

Permitted Use

Subject to the General terms and Conditions, you may (a) use the Services and access to Content by electronically displaying the content on any single personal computer terminal at any one time for your sole and exclusive use, (b) obtain a single printout, and/or retrieve and store in machine-readable form a single copy, of each item accessed, on an insubstantial basis via the printing or downloading commands, for your sole and exclusive use, provided that all relevant copyright and other proprietary notices in the same form in which such notices appear on this site are included with the item copied or stored, and (c) exchange any Content with any other Authorized Users (as defined in the General Terms and Conditions) within the same subscribing organization. You may only use the Services and the Content for research purposes and shall not use them for commercial exploitation or redistribution. You shall use the Content and the Services in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, rules or orders of any government, administrative authority or court and shall not use any Content or Services or this site for any unlawful or unauthorized purposes or in any illegal or unauthorized manner. You shall not remove, cancel or alter any copyright or other proprietary notices contained in the Content.

 

Restricted Acts

Except as otherwise permitted in the General Terms and Conditions, you are prohibited from downloading, storing, editing, selling, reproducing, transmitting, disseminating, adapting, circulating, broadcasting, publishing, displaying, copying, distributing, decompiling, reserve engineering, disassembling, using or creating derivative work from, any Content by any means, in any manner or for any purpose, and/or authorizing or permitting any person to do the same.

 

Intellectual Property Rights

All rights, title and interest in the Content and the Services, in any formats and media throughout the world, including all copyrights and trademarks therein, belong to Wisers and/or any and all third party suppliers of the Content. You do not acquire any proprietary right in the Content or Services or copies thereof.

 

Security

You accept responsibility for the confidentiality and use of your identification number(s) and designated password(s) for your access to and use of the Services. You shall notify Wisers immediately if you become aware of any loss, theft or unauthorized use of your identification number(s) and designated password(s).

No Warranty

Any use of the Services and the Content by you is at your sole risk and you acknowledge that the Services and the Content are provided “AS IS” and that Wisers and each third party supplier of the Content expressly disclaim warranty of any kind, express or implied, statutory or otherwise, including, but not limited to, merchantability, quality, non-infringement, condition, title or fitness for a particular purpose.

 

Limitation of Liability

Neither Wisers, the third party suppliers of the Content, nor any agent, subsidiary, affiliate, employee, director, officer or representative thereof (collectively the “Wisers Parties”) shall have any liability for any loss, injury, expense, claim or damages of any kind in connection with or arising out of (a) any use of the Content or the Service; (b) any fault, disruption, inaccuracy, omission, delay or any other failure in the Content and the Services; (c) the truthfulness, accuracy, completeness or timeliness of the Content and the Services; or (d) your use of any equipment in connection with the Services, even if the Wisers Parties have been advised of or are otherwise aware of the possibility of any of the foregoing. In no event will any Wisers Party be liable to you or any other party for any incidental, consequential, special or indirect damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Services or the Content.

 

Governing Law

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the HKSAR.
